3 Successful Methods To Carry Out Weight Loss Resolutions!

by Robert Green

If losing weight was at the top of your list of New Year’s resolutions and several months have passed without success, it is necessary to try something truly useful. One would think, given the sheer number of people who make weight loss resolutions every January, that obesity would disappear from the world in the course of a single year.

Unfortunately, less than 10% of these individuals follow through with their resolutions to the end of the year. By reading this article, you will become aware of three great tips on ways to enable yourself to lose weight, no matter what the odds say.

Most individuals do not accomplish their New Year’s resolutions for several reasons:

1. Many times, they do not set goals for themselves that are attainable. How can you do what you vow, when the goals you have set are unreachable? If you are one of those people who want to lose as much weight as they can, as fast as they can, then you will probably never see the results that you are striving for, no matter what you do. Alternately, if you set a goal of losing a portion of your body weight and follow through with a healthy diet regiment, you would accomplish long-lasting weight loss!

Remember, though, that losing FAT (the thing you need to lose in order to become slimmer) can not be legitimately done through any of the “fast weight loss” solutions you see advertised. Usually the only thing these types of flashy diets do, is make you dehydrated, burn up valuable muscle mass, and cause your body to be in worse shape than before you started dieting. To lose extra weight, the only things you need to keep in mind is regular exercise and eating healthy! You won’t have to throw money away on diet fads or supplements!

b) People aim too high: The majority of people make the error of aiming too high, thus wind up accomplishing too little. Set smaller goals and will discover how fast you can lose weight!

Here is an example of a short-term goal: the amount of weight that you want to lose is 15 pounds. So, to be better able to reach your goal, instead of wanting to lose 15 pounds, since this will take a pretty long time, why not aim to lose 5 pounds instead? In less than three weeks, you could meet your goal! Keeping your goals low and realistic, and watching yourself achieve them, will keep you so motivated that you will have lost all 20 pounds before you know it!

c) People fail to reward themselves: If you fail to reward yourself once in a while, you will have a reason to keep up with your weight loss program. Seriously, have you ever really TRIED at something you were required to do but got nothing out of? I don’t imagine! Losing weight is no different than anything else you do.

This reward should be something creative, something that will make you feel good about yourself and show off what you have achieved; visit the spa or salon, buy a sexy new outfit, or anything else that won’t undo all the hard work you have put in.
