What are some fad diets that ACTUALLY WORK?
Things like South Beach Diet, Martha’s Vineyard Diet Detox, orFlat Belly Diet…things like that? I just need to lose like 15 pounds, nothing major. But I also want to keep it off sooo.. Got any success stories?

I’ve heard good things about the South Beach Diet. My family has had success with an Atkins/Zone combination, just generally eating more protein, but keeping it healthy.

well, its not really a diet, but it kind is. first of all, you have to excersize like daily. you are going to get a flat belly way quicker if you do some ab crunches or some abdominal twists… eat protien but low cal drinks like water, gatorade or propel. not fatty foods, but choose filling foods. low carbs work too

Fad diets don’t really work. You’ll lose the weight and gain it all back that way. I’d recommend the diet talked about at 180degreehealth.com

Those fads diets you mention do work for a while not the long term as they are too restrictive……..the trick is keeping the weight off for good.
July 12th, 2010 at 11:10 AMOnce you get to your goal weight people tend to think its OK to have a little bit of this and some of that……the weight creeps back on, you need to keep foods fresh and lean and exercise.
Blitzed & Bombed
If you want something more long-term, I’d suggest the South Beach Diet. You won’t lose the weight incredibly fast, but it just promotes healthy eating habits, and you can keep it up after you are done losing weight in order to maintain your losses.
